7:50 am - 8:40 am Increasing Organisation Wide Transparency and Visibility in Order to Improve Performance and Productivity in the Government Sector

Transparency is seen to unleash a sense of accountability which in turn improves productivity and organisational effectiveness. This session will explore how data dashboards and metric trees can create a culture of high performance and self motivated problem solving. These tools and strategies have been implemented by the Cardinia Shire Council to meet growing demand in times of rate capping.  

Learning Objectives:

  • Understanding how you can create an organization wide data dashboard on a budget to drive a culture of transparency and accountability
  • Reviewing KPIs and creating a metric tree and reflects value add and productivity
  • Empowering your staff in structured problem solving and implementing root cause analysis
  • Exploring quality circles and quality management
